Terms of service
Last updated: 10 June 2026
By using Content Maturity ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. Who we are
The service is operated by Contentious Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10289406, registered office 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE.
2. The service
Content Maturity lets you and your colleagues assess your organisation's content capabilities against our maturity framework and see scored, narrative results, both individually and aggregated across a team. Results — including any AI-generated analysis — are provided as guidance to support your own judgement, not as professional advice, and we don't warrant any particular outcome from acting on them.
3. Accounts
You need an account to run an analysis. You're responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@contentmaturity.com if you believe your account has been misused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other organisations' or users' data, disrupting or scraping the service, or submitting unlawful content. You must only enter colleagues' details or invite them where you're entitled to do so.
5. Plans and payment
The core analysis is currently free. When we introduce paid plans, their terms — billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds — will be set out here, and you'll see them before you pay.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the responses and information you submit. You grant us the licence needed to host and process it to provide the service, including generating aggregated and AI-written results, as described in our privacy policy.
7. Our content
The framework, the site, its text, design and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property rights. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your organisation's internal purposes. Please don't republish or redistribute the framework or site content without our permission.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or discontinue features. We may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the service.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Termination
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. On account closure, organisation-level aggregate results may be retained as described in our privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
